Client success gives us problems to solve
We all know about the problems of steady or shrinking markets. But spare a thought for the problems of growth. We are currently working with a ‘founder’ to help him to develop a team around him and set up the systems which his growing business needs – but which everything in his nature resists. We like to refer to these as good problems – but they often cause more

trouble than ‘bad’ problems!

Size IS everything
Being a small outfit has its advantages in terms of quick response. Last week we visited a potential client – next week we are
working with their new management team.

Where the rubber hits the road
Last time we mentioned our high-speed MBTI presentation to a Formula One management team – in fact, Toyota. They liked it so much that they made the MBTI a core part of the offsites for managers throughout the business. And so far it's paying off - in their start to the season, the boys done good!


The French have a word for it ...
A basic principle of our work is to get people to take responsibility for themselves and their actions: a question we often find ourselves asking in our coaching and development work is, ‘What is your part in the situation?’ So it was quite satisfying to be reminded, when working with a French client, that the word for manager in French is ... ‘le responsable’.

It’s not all good news in France. Shopping in a French supermarket, we came back with two packets of cereal. One was called Schmoops, and the other Plopsies.
I wonder why they haven’t caught on over here ...
