Bill Krouwel - Training Manager,
Specialist in Leadership and Management Development.
Bill started full time work in 1964, and after a variety of factory
and office jobs joined Imperial Tobacco, where he qualified as a
Chartered Secretary. He became a Training Manager within the group,
later moving to Co-operative Retail Services as regional HR Manager.
Pursuing an interest in organisational and personal development, he
joined the Lindley Educational Trust and was responsible for
building the Trust’s involvement in
outdoor management development.
He later gained a research-based MA in Management Learning from
Lancaster University, and in 2000 was elected a Fellow of the
Institute of Training and Organisational Learning.
For the last nineteen years, Bill has worked as a consultant
specialising in leadership, personal, organisational and management
development, often with an experiential (but not necessarily
outdoor) twist. Recent work has taken him outside the UK, notably to
Romania.
He is qualified in the use of FIRO-B and MBTI, and is trained as a
Hay Job Description writer. He is also an accomplished designer of
focused experiential exercises and of development and assessment
centres.
